Raw Material Quality Assurance

At AQ Steel Built, our commitment to delivering top-tier Steel Structures projects begins with a thorough review of raw materials, including Purlins & Girt. We adhere to strict quality standards, ensuring that every aspect of our material selection meets or exceeds industry benchmarks. Our detailed inspection process includes:

Source Confirmation

We diligently validate the origin of the material, ensuring it aligns with our high standards.

Steel Grade Confirmation

The grade of steel is a crucial factor in structural integrity. We leave no room for compromise, confirming the steel grade with precision.

Certified Mill Documents

Our materials come with mill certificates, certified by CNAS laboratories—a commitment to quality recognized under the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement.

Sulphur Contents Verification

Batch by batch, we verify Sulphur contents, to ensure compliance.

Surface Condition Inspection

We precisely inspect the surface condition of the steel, ensuring it meets our standards.

Heat Number Confirmation

Each material is traceable through its heat number, providing transparency and accountability.

Element B Control

Our materials strictly adhere to the requirement that Element B remains below 0.008%.

Shear Connector Studs and Welding Consumables

We check and certify shear connector studs and welding consumables through ILAC laboratories, ensuring their reliability.

Laboratory Certification for Tests

Ensuring the highest quality, our materials undergo rigorous testing, including:

  • Tensile testing.
  • Charpy impact testing.
  • Chemical Analysis.
  • Thru Tensile (for Z-grade steels).
  • Flattening Test (for CHS).

Compliance with Standards

Our test certificates align with the elements specified in AS 3678-2016 for AS-grade steel and GB/T 1591-2018 for Q-grade steel. Additionally, we adhere to international standards, encompassing regulations from the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union and Canada.
